7 away wins thrills Pipul TV Nationwide League – Ogunnowo

As the Pipul TV Nationwide League One enters match day two this weekend across the federation, Shola Ogunnowo has sai d that the League body and the entire football stakeholders are happy with the proceedings from match day one that recorded 7 away wins and they are thrilled with the scintilating football in the league.


“ We are very happy with the results that came out from the  match day one of the league. We had 7 away wins, 9 draws and 13 home wins and that is very good development for our league and we hope that this will continue as the league progresses in the season.


He noted further that there was no violence recorded at the league venues, even the clubs that lost at away took it good light , with the understanding that they will have to work harder to get a favourable result in the next game.


“  We did not hear of any negative incident at our league venues and the clubs that lost at home did not complain of any poor officiating and this is good for our referees and the progress of the league” he said.


He, however charged the adminstrators of clubs in the league to maintain law and order at the variuous league venues and ensure that atmosphere of peace prevail always before , during and at the end of every football game .


“ The league have began well and i want to appeal to the  administrators of the clubs to ensure that peace and tranquility prevail always at the league veues before the game , during the game and after the game” he concluded.

Supreme Court Football Club Chairman, Barr Gambo Saleh has called on players and Technical Crew of the team to go all out and reclaim their spot in the Nigeria National League, NNL even as they gear up to take up Neighbours, Wazobia Football Club of Abuja in their first Nigeria Nation-wide league game, this season.

Saleh who gave the charge while speaking to the team on Thursday in Abuja maintained that the task of gaining back promotion to the Nigeria National League was non-negotiable.

He further noted that the management would unleash full support to the club in their quest to re-launch themselves the path of victory again.

According to him; “We are away of the challenges the team is passing due to the current economic realities but we are not giving up. As a management, we will continue to strategize in order to guarantee steady support to the club.”

Also speaking, General Manager, Tolulope Oguntimehin remarked that a total overhaul of both players and technical officials has been carried out in the team as part of effort geared towards repositioning the team.

He equally told the players that no form of laxity would be entertained.

Already, Former Heartland tactician, Erasmus Onu has been drafted as the Technical Adviser while Henry Haggai is the Chief Coach.

Meanwhile, no fewer than 27 players including only five of the old players Paul Samson (Drogba), Hilary Nkaru, Segun Odegbile, Rilwan Alaba and Caleb Rugasa are battle ready to face any opposition after weeks of plummeting and intense training sessions coupled with series of friendly matches were activated.

Majority of the existing players who joined newly and will be on parade as the season progresses include Idoga Douglas, Uche Ngwu, Stephen Bako, Stephen Bernard, Yau Aliu Adam, Abdulkadir Sadiq, Musa Munir, Bin Yusuf Jibril, Uche Chibueze, Bawa Umoru, Anthony Ubochi, Chukwuma Uduji.

Other are Anas Abdullahi, Mohammed Mubarak, Anthony Michael, Joseph Enoch, Jonatus Goja, Abu Anofi, ThankGod Ikeagwu, Promise Uzoagba and Jabar Anifowoshe.
