Alkosendi compounds woes on Wazobia FC in Abuja.

Alkosendi compounds woes on Wazobia FC in Abuja.

Abdullazeez Umar ( in blue ) in action against Supreme FC last weekend in Lafia. Alkosendi won 2-0.

Abdullahi Mohammed  came off the bench in the 60th minute  to  change the fortune of Alkosendi Int’l FC and ensured that the boys from Lafia got the maximum points against Wazobia FC to compound woes on the Abuja based side.

The solitary goal from Abdullahi Mohammed  earned Aklosendi Int’l FC their first away victory and a second win in a week after beating Supreme Court FC Abuja 2-1 in the Lafia City Stadium.

The midfielder smashed the ball home in the 82th minute to score his first goal of the season to join the scorers chart .

Aklosendi are now top of the log with nine points from four matches played, three points ahead Vet Rovers.

The Allu boys were the dominant side throughout the game and could have won by a greater margin were it not for several spurned opportunities. As early as the 8th minute Dingba set Maigishiri through only for wrong footings to blow away a one on one situation, few minutes later it was Maigishiri setting Dingba through with  similar opportunity only to place the ball straight to the keeper.

Abdullazeez Umar the man with the brace in Lafia against Supreme FC  had his own opportunity to get into the score sheet but nodded wide after a rebound from a Dingba’s shot.

Second half saw the visitors intensified the pressure on Wazobia. FC, but the home team came out strong as Aklosendi Int’l FC gave out their best to show they are in Abuja for business.

In the 60th and 75th minutes saw coach Moga of Aklosendi making some tactical substitutions with Maigishiri Moh’D making way for Abdullahi Mohammed and Godwin Onumah off for Ameachi Anyikwa respectively.

The tactical substitutions did paid off as the substitutes made immediate impact with resulted to the only goal of the game after Luka Ambina released a pass to Abdullahi Mohammed who made a solo effort from center half beating three defenders into the box smashing the ball into the net to give Aklosendi Int’l the needed goal in the 82nd minute.

After the game coach, Stephen Moga praised his boys for their fighting spirit  and also could not  hide his admiration towards the Wazobia’s duggedness in resisting pressure from his boys as no team can be termed as push overs.
