Crown FC and three others gain promotion to the top flight

Nigeria Professional Football League.
The first and second clubs from the two sides of the division by virtue of the qualification will now have the privileges of competing in the more lucrative top flight league.
Giwa FC and Taraba FC made the cut from Division A, while Abia Warriors and Crown FC of Ogbomoso were the qualifying teams from Division B.

It is understood that players and officials of Crown FC have been promised the sum of N10 million by the Oyo State Government for gaining promotion into the top flight league.
Meanwhile a 3-1 victory by City of David United(COD) over Remo Stars at the Onikan Stadium,ensures that the Lagos based club will not be relegated to the second division.
