Ekeji showers praises on NLO, Ubah

The former Director General of the National Sports Commission, NSC, Dr. Patrick Ekeji has showered praises on the management of the Nation-wide League One, saying that the unveiling of Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah as it league patron was the beginning of greatness.

Dr. Ekeji who himself was a product of grass roots football, and who also witnessed Ubah’s unveiling as NLO patron last Thursday says, the event symbolized the grand breaking effort by the league for attracting the CEO of Capital Oil to the league.
He says, the presence of Nigeria business mogul, Ubah in the lowest tie of the Nigeria leagues coupled with the fact that he has a club in the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL has shown his readiness and willingness to join hands in developing the nation’s football, he however, encouraged him to woo his business partners to do same.

“I want to congratulate the management of Nation-wide League One for their effort in this programme of today (Thursday) that I considered a grand breaking effort, for their ability to attract someone like Ifeanyi Ubah as patron.
“That to me as somebody who have been up there is an effort that was not just accidental, it was very well thought through and implemented and we are seeing that implementation yielding today,”
The reports that, Dr. Ubah (NLO patron) had already agreed to sponsor division three league of the NLO (zonal elimination) that will kick off on a later date.
It could be recalled that last Thursday Nation-wide League One unveiled Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah as it patron and former internationals; Daniel Amokachi, Victor Ikpeba, garba Lawal and Patrick Pasca as the league ambassadors in a gamorous ceremony.
