The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has condemned the way its members are being disallowed from covering league matches in some stadia

The association made this clear in a report signed by the communique drafting committee chairman, Muideen Adeleke, at the expanded National Executives Council (NEC) meeting in Ilorin, Kwara State.

SWAN condemns the way its members are being disallowed from covering league matches in some stadia, saying that sports writers should be seen as partners-in-progress.

It as well decries the promotion of foreign football leagues among others at the expense of local leagues, but enjoins the League Management Company (LMC) to see to the effective organization and management of the Nigeria football League, while collaborating with SWAN for their projection.
