As Nigerians and fans of the beautiful game prepare to celebrate Christmas 2024, His Excellency Silas Agara, Chairman of the Nationwide League One (NLO), has shared his festive greetings.
Honourable Agara addressed the media of the nation’s third-tier league, stating, “This Christmas season is a time for reflection, gratitude, and a celebration of the contributions made toward the success of the New Year Mega Lottery/NLO Division 1, New Year Mega Lottery/NLO U19 Youth League, New Year Mega Lottery/NLO Super 8, and the Afriskaut NLO Cup.
“As we celebrate the Yuletide, I express my profound gratitude to the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, and his Executive Committee, the management of New Year Mega Lottery, and our partners—Sofascore, Afriskaut, NaemoSport, and the entire Nigeria football family—who have made this season memorable for over 300 football clubs and academies.
“The NLO has the largest support base, not only across Nigeria but also around the globe. Wherever you are enjoying the festivities, we wish you all a Merry Christmas.
“I hope that every NLO fan has a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous 2025. May the joy of this season renew our commitment to developing grassroots football together and bringing smiles to every face.”
The NLO Chairman expressed optimism that the 2025 season will be even more eventful and profitable for the clubs.
