The trio of Campos FC, Ave FC and Dohz Academy have booked their places in the second round of the Nationwide League One/Ikukuoma Super Cup.

It was a tough MatchDay 3 as only the game between Giant Brillars and Hausawa United ended in a thriller at the Uboma Secondary School Stadium Complex, in Ihitte/Uboma LGA.

The duo of Campos FC and Ave FC cemented their spots with a lone goal wins on Friday. Campos FC needed a 75th minute goal from Okoro Emeka to end Paul E FC campaign and a second defeat in the tournament.

Ave FC also needed a late strike from Chukwu Sochima off a sumptuous header to nail Golden Albium FC.

Dohz Academy also needed a slim win to hand FC Ebedei JNR its first defeat in the tournament.

The other fixture between Giant Brillars and Hausawa United was a classic one, as the former came back twice from behind to punish the latter 3-2.

Hausawa United went into the half with a two-goal lead scored by Sani Dan-Kabuwa in the 7th and 31st minutes for his brace.

Olamilekan Hundeyin started the comeback with Giant Brillar’s first goal in the 56th minute, Chichin Akande pounced on a loose ball from a sloppy defending to draw level 2-2 in the 63rd minute.

Eugene Okwudyma then put the icing on the cake for Giant Brillars with a superb nodding in the 86th minute as the encounter ended 3-2 in their favor.

The game involving Tudun Wada and Vandrezzer Academy ended in a 1-1 draw. Mohammed Yusuf put Tudun Wada ahead in the 50th minute with a superb jab off a well-tailored right cross.

John Okokon restored parity for Vandrezzer Academy scoring from a cool finish with 20 minutes to end the game.
