The Secretariat of the Nationwide League One (NLO) has listed facts about why club registration on the NLO portal is mandatory for teams.
A correspondence from its media department on Wednesday reminded the 360 teams in the third-tier division that registration of all clubs player on the NLO portal is very important.
It also listed the benefits which many clubs thought were unnecessary are playing out and denying them opportunities attached to it and in the long run, affects the clubs and the players.
Among the benefits listed by the NLO are that scouts can from a distance get the details of clubs and players.
Foreign Embassies can verify registered players for visa purposes.
Registered players are safe on the portal and invariably difficult to poach by scavengers acting as football agents and intermediaries. As it will enable the NLO to keep an accurate database for the league.
The Secretariat will be able to present its strengths in numbers to potential partners and sponsors.
Furthermore, the portal will equally enable clubs to confirm players’ registration in case of doubts about any player fielded by their opponents.
