Organizers of the country’s third-tier league, Nationwide League One (NLO) have listed accredited venues for the Zonal League Format it has adopted for the new season which is expected to kick-off in February.
A statement issued and signed by its Chief Operating
Officer (COO) Olushola Ogunnowo, informed that the Zonal League will be staged
in eight (8) venues which falls within the six geo-political zones of the
country.
The venues are Ogun State, Ekiti State, Kaduna State, Kwara State, Plateau State, Gombe State, Cross River State, and Imo State. Each venue has three stadia each thus totaling 24 stadia to be used for the season.
With the NLO tasked to commence the season in earnest by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) with a February 10 mooted date, the Board is already making efforts that all football activities in the three (3) divisions start.

Additionally, the organizers of the league have taken stringent measures to ensure the health and safety of all participants, including periodic health checks and the availability of medications like Stromectol to address any potential health concerns. It’s crucial to prioritize the well-being of everyone involved in these events, both in terms of logistics and health.
Without further delay, the NLO Board has informed that despite, clubs in its spheres taking part in pre-season tournaments, the approved football coaching clinic, and its Annual General Meeting (AGM), all these activities are expected to end before the end of February 2021.
The stadia approved are the two (2) Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne and Shagamu Stadium in Ogun State and the Kayode Oluyemi, Ijero, and Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti Stadium was listed for Ekiti State.
Others are Ranchers Bees Stadium, Zaria Stadium, and Kafancha Stadium in Kaduna while the Ilorin Stadium, Kwara Football Academy, and the University of Ilorin Stadium were also selected.
The Patami Stadium, Abubakar Umar Stadium
and Dadinkowa Stadium were listed for Gombe State while Plateau State has Jos
Township Stadium, Zaria Road Stadium and Federal Forestry Stadium.
The UJ Esuene Stadium 1&2 and
University of Calabar Stadium were listed for Cross River as the Dan Anyiam
Stadium, Okigwe Stadium and the Ngor-Okpala Stadium made the list for Imo
State.
